About Leila

Hello, I'm Leila and I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor based in South Manchester, working with adults aged 18 and over. When you come to counselling with me, you’ll be met with warmth, respect, and genuine curiosity about your experience. I offer space where you can talk openly about what’s been going on for you, whether that relates to the past, the present, or both.

I work with a wide range of difficulties, because no two people arrive with the same story. I support clients self-esteem, anger, confidence, life changes, relationship concerns, and I have a specialist interest and extensive experience working with anxiety, and how the impact this can have day to day for clients. While these are areas I’m especially drawn to, our work will always be shaped by what feels most important for you, rather than by labels or expectations.

My path into counselling grew from a long-standing interest in the human mind and emotions, and a curiosity about why we develop certain patterns in order to cope. Along the way, I began to recognise similarities in my own experiences, including self-doubt and internal barriers and saw how understanding these patterns, with compassion rather than judgement, can create meaningful change. This is something I bring into my work with clients.

Alongside counselling, I also offer Solution Focused Hypnotherapy. This is a gentle, practical approach that focuses on what is possible and changeable, rather than keeping you stuck in problems. Hypnotherapy supports deep relaxation and helps your mind and body settle, making space for new ways of responding and moving forward. You remain fully in control at all times, and we work together in a way that feels safe and manageable.

I know reaching out for support can feel daunting, particularly if you’re used to coping alone or putting others first. My aim is to support you in building confidence in your own responses, and finding ways forward that feels right for you.
